STDs are Sexually Transmitted Diseases. Like the name says, these are diseases you can get from sexual contact with infected partners. There are two kinds of STD’s: non-viral and viral. Non-Viral STDs can be cured IF they are properly diagnosed and treated by a doctor. BUT, because STDs often have no noticeable symptoms or mild symptoms, people with a potentially curable STD may not know they are infected--so they don’t get treatment. Viral STD’s can’t be cured. If they are properly diagnosed, medications can help fight outbreaks of symptoms of some viral STD’s, although side effects of the medications are also important to consider. Viral STDs can be spread during sexual activity, even if no symptoms are present at the time. Either way, these are problems you can avoid. And the best way to avoid them is by practicing Abstinence.
